December 16, 2009 Metro Badminto Christmas Party!!

My badminton group planned to have our Christmas Party on a yacht, on which we could cruise Subic Bay. My good friend Mike organized the group with the other good friend of mine Art. We left home at 6:00 in the morning, bound for our designated meeting place. By 6:30 we hopped on a 12-seater van for the drive to Subic. Since we did not eat breakfast at home, we stopped at Nlex Bulacan to have breakfast at Pancake House. After our quick stop we headed to Subic Bay and got there by 10 o’clock.
We sailed around the Subic Bay for at least five hours. After having our delicious lunch prepared by the beautiful Sheilla, we shuttled to an Island (I don’t remember its name) to take a swim and play in the sands. After taking pictures and the goofing off we went back in to our yacht, the S/Y Puerto Galera, and took a quick rinse of fresh water and headed our way back to Subic yacht club.
The day of sailing is over now, but we have some great memories. The van driver took us to Zoobic to see the Siberian Tigers but we did not have much luck with that. We got there round 5pm an hour after their closing time. We decided to have a plan B that involved driving go-carts. We completed ten laps for 400 pesos per person.
By then we were hungry again and tired. It was a good thing our friend hired a driver for the van because we really needed a nap on the way back. Next, we headed up to Clark and had a fabulous dinner at C’Italian Restaurant Tel No (045) 892-4059. The Chef, Chris Locher, was very kind to us and the waitresses were quite courteous. The food Chef Locher recommended us was just “to die for.” It rated ” 10 +” in my book – nice place, nice people, and great Italian food. A lot of celebrities from Manila go there just for a simple meal at this restaurant.
We left C’Italian by 9:30 in the evening and headed back to Manila. Traffic wasn’t that bad until we got to Edsa. We got home by 11:30 that night. Many thanks to Mr. Mike Johnson, his beautiful wife Sheilla and to all the individuals for who helped to keep us on time as scheduled. Cheers!
